LCD red and blue spots: refers to the abnormal display area of local red, blue or red-blue in LCD display panels, which usually manifests as irregular patches or color shifts, which is a phenomenon of display defects.
The poor red and blue spots of LCD are generally particularly obvious in black images, and the LCD display panel is also obvious without voltage applied.
The main reasons for the LCD's red and blue spots are: the LCD display panel is squeezed by external forces, causing deformation of the glass substrate, causing physical damage to the inside of the LCD display panel, resulting in changes in its optical characteristics, and eventually poor LCD red and blue spots.
According to the number of red and blue spots in LCD, it can be divided into: one kind of poor spots and multiple poor spots.
1. A mechanism of poor color spots:
Under the action of external force (the external force at this time includes both the Z direction and the X direction), the Main PS is compressed by the Z direction force, and on the other hand, the Main PS is subjected to the X direction force, causing the Main PS to move horizontally to the non-BM region, resulting in the PI being scratched by the Main PS.
When the PI is scratched, the PI will lose its anchoring ability and cannot align the liquid crystal. The display panel in the normally black display mode (IPS) will cause pixel light leakage at the scratched area, which is the color spot we see. Since the external force is exposed to the LCD display panel, the deformation variable of Main PS is < the difference between Main PS and Sub PS, which means that only Main PS has scratch PI, and Sub Main does not scratch PI.
Therefore, the color spots we see at this time are a kind of color spots that are bad. As for whether it is erythema or green spot, it is related to the sliding direction of Main PS.
2. Mechanisms of various color spots:
On the basis of a kind of color spot poor, if the external force exposed to the LCD display panel continues to increase, the deformation of Main PS will be caused by the difference between Main PS and Sub PS, which means that both Main PS and Sub PS scratches the PI.
When the PI is scratched by Main PS and Sub PS at the same time, multiple blemishes will occur.
In addition, in LCD panel design, the number of Sub PS will be more than that of Main PS. Therefore, Sub PS will also produce more spots than Main PS.
