The company also continued to lead the premium and ultra-large TV segments. In the global premium TV market, defined as models priced above US$2,500, Samsung achieved a revenue share of 53.4%. In the ultra-large TV category, covering models priced above US$1,500, Samsung secured a market share of 50.1%.

Samsung maintained strong leadership in the large-screen segment as well. The company accounted for 31.6% of the global market for TVs measuring 75 inches and above, while its share in the 80-inch-and-larger category reached 29.7%. This performance was largely driven by strong consumer demand for its 98-inch and 100-inch television models.

Growth in the OLED TV business was equally impressive. During the first quarter, Samsung's OLED TV shipments increased 28.8% year-over-year, while its revenue-based market share reached 40.1%.

Since launching its first OLED TV lineup in 2022, Samsung has accumulated total OLED TV sales exceeding 5 million units worldwide, highlighting the company's growing presence in the premium display segment.

Notably, Samsung has also secured the leading position in the North American OLED TV market, one of the industry's most important high-end segments. The company achieved a market share of 46.1%, supported by its strong product performance, advanced display technologies, and premium user experience.

As demand for larger screens, premium picture quality, and OLED technology continues to grow, Samsung's market leadership across both LCD and OLED television categories is expected to remain a key driver of its global TV business performance throughout 2026.
