On April 24, HKC (Huike) officially launched what they're calling the world's first 3.1-inch AR-HUD product for cars. The company says this new display brings major upgrades in color, brightness, and clarity, with image quality that's getting close to OLED levels.

According to their lab results, the product uses a brand-new Oxide technology plus a custom panel and backlight system. Here's what stands out:
- Color gamut hits 116% NTSC, so colors look rich and accurate, almost like OLED - which is exactly what you need in a car.
- Brightness is really high thanks to the RGB-Mini backlight. Peak brightness goes over 15,000 nits, meaning the image stays sharp and clear even on sunny days, and looks gentle at night.
- Transparency is also improved. The high light transmission and precise light control help get rid of ghosting and blurry edges that often plague AR-HUDs.
HKC also managed to lower power consumption while keeping the brightness high. This is a big deal for cars, since it helps with battery life and meets the strict low-power requirements of automotive systems.
The company describes this 3.1-inch AR-HUD as their first official HUD product. It's a key milestone for HKC as they move further into the automotive display space and start competing seriously in the AR-HUD market.
This display is designed specifically for AR-HUD use. It should work smoothly with most mainstream car AR systems, overlaying navigation directions, vehicle info, safety alerts, and other important stuff right in the driver's line of sight. Basically, it aims to make smart driving feel more immersive and useful.
All in all, it looks like HKC is making a serious push into car displays with this launch.
