June 8 - According to Sigmaintell Consulting, panel supply is contracting further in June, becoming the primary factor in stabilizing supply and demand in the TV panel market.

On the demand side, June represents a seasonal low period for TV panel stocking, with brands adopting more cautious procurement strategies. Terminal demand for stockpiling has weakened, as brands have already completed panel procurement for the upcoming World Cup and the "618" shopping festival. This has led to reduced short-term purchasing willingness. Additionally, OEMs continue to face elevated cost pressures, making procurement control a key approach to balancing panel pricing and overall expenses.

Sigmaintell believes that brand procurement demand is unlikely to recover in the short term, while demand from OEMs is also expected to remain sluggish.

On the supply side, panel manufacturers have intensified production control and adjusted capacity allocation to address the weak demand during this transitional period. Leading producers have significantly reduced capacity allocation for small- and medium-sized panels. Additionally, some manufacturers have been controlling input at their G8.6 and G10.5 production lines since May.

Overall, TV panel prices are expected to remain largely stable throughout the second quarter.

Performance by Panel Size:

  • 32": In response to weakening demand, leading manufacturers have substantially cut capacity allocation. Panel prices are expected to stay stable in June.
  • 50": Cooling demand combined with limited supply levels is projected to keep average panel prices stable in June.
  • 55": With stable demand and relatively concentrated supply, average panel prices are expected to remain mainly stable in June.
  • Large Sizes: Steady demand and strong production control at G10.5 lines are forecast to support strong price stability in June.

This balanced supply-demand dynamic is helping to maintain price steadiness despite seasonal softness in the TV panel sector.
