On June 8, leaker Sonny Dickson released a set of high-resolution detail images of the foldable iPhone (potentially named iPhone Fold) mockups, suggesting that the device's exterior design is largely finalized. Reports also indicate that the foldable model may launch exclusively in a white color variant.

These mockups are primarily used for offline exhibitions and serve as references for accessory manufacturers. Suppliers need highly accurate dimensions to mass-produce cases and other peripherals ahead of the official launch. In April this year, Dickson had already revealed early engineering models of the foldable iPhone, iPhone 18 Pro, and iPhone 18 Pro Max, providing the first clear confirmation that the foldable adopts a clamshell (passport-style flip) design.
The newly leaked foldable iPhone mockups offer far richer details than previous versions, more clearly showcasing the overall design and screen form factor.
These design elements align with various circulating rumors. The device features a book-style clamshell form factor with a 4:3 screen ratio. Its body is wider than it is tall - a shape distinct from all current foldable phones on the market. The outer screen measures 5.5 inches, while the inner display is a 7.8-inch OLED panel. When unfolded, the device is slightly smaller than an iPad mini.

According to rumors, the phone features an ultra-thin 4.5mm titanium metal frame. The volume buttons have been relocated to the top of the device, and the customizable Action Button has been removed. It is expected to use Touch ID for unlocking instead of Face ID. The rear camera setup consists of a horizontal dual-camera module with a raised design reminiscent of the iPhone Air.
The mockups also reveal several new design details: the outer screen adopts a full-screen design with slightly curved edges; the flash is positioned inside the camera module, below the rear microphone; the rear microphone features a brand-new seven-hole design; and the front-facing camera on the inner screen is placed in the upper-left corner, which will inevitably affect the shape of the Dynamic Island.
Regarding color options, Dickson stated that the device appears to be available only in white. Blogger previously indicated that this model is highly likely to skip a black version, making white the sole colorway. Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman had also mentioned that Apple plans to abandon vibrant colors and stick with traditional color schemes.
Notably, Apple has often launched multiple high-end products with only a single color option at debut, such as the Apple Watch Ultra and Vision Pro. This strategy aligns with Apple's past practices for major flagship releases. The iPhone X, launched in November 2017, was initially available only in Silver and Space Gray, with a record starting price of $999. The gold version was added the following year with the iPhone XS. Analysts speculate that Apple may follow a similar phased rollout, gradually introducing more colors for this foldable flagship.
The foldable iPhone is expected to launch in September 2026 alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. According to Gurman, the starting price of this new foldable device will exceed $2,000.
