On March 31, 2026, BOE Technology released its full-year 2025 report.

Last year the company brought in 204.59 billion yuan in revenue - first time back above 200 billion since 2021. Net profit came to 5.857 billion yuan, up about 10% from the year before. Pretty decent numbers overall.
They also said they'll hand out more than 20 billion yuan in dividends this time. On top of that, they're planning to buy back up to 10 billion yuan of A-shares and 10 billion HKD of B-shares (and cancel them). Plus, they're rolling out a fresh restricted stock plan for around 1 billion shares - first one since 2020 - to get employees more invested in the company's long-term success.
Display panels still carrying the load, other businesses picking up
BOE poured 13.983 billion yuan into R&D in 2025, roughly 6.83% of revenue. That helped keep the display business solid, with 166.4 billion yuan in sales.
In LCD panels, they held onto the top spot worldwide for shipments in phones, tablets, laptops, monitors, and TVs. Their fancier tech (like ADS Pro and Oxide) showed up in flagship products from Hisense, Skyworth, Lenovo, and others.
On the OLED front, flexible OLED shipments were No.1 in China and No.2 globally. They were early to use newer stuff like LTPO, Tandem, and TADF in phones from vivo, OPPO, and Honor. They also got China's first 8.6-gen AMOLED line up and running ahead of schedule, aiming to grab more of the bigger-screen OLED market.
Beyond displays, the IoT business grew nicely to 38.95 billion yuan, up 15%. Smart whiteboards, electronic price tags, POS systems and such ranked high in their markets. The second phase of the Vietnam smart terminal project started early too.
Sensing business jumped 52% to 587 million yuan. MLED hit 9.32 billion yuan, up nearly 10%. Smart medical engineering reached 1.9 billion yuan, and their hospitals saw more patients.
In other areas, they set some world records in perovskite solar tech, stayed No.1 in car displays, pushed ahead with an IPO for BOE Energy, and landed quite a few projects elsewhere.
They also kicked off a big sustainability strategy last year and introduced their own "Blue Whale" AI display model plus an AI Factory - claimed to be industry firsts.
More money going back to shareholders
While running the business, BOE is trying to treat shareholders better. They proposed a cash dividend of 0.56 yuan for every 10 shares - that adds up to about 2.074 billion yuan, or 35% of this year's profit. Once paid, they'll have given out dividends for 12 years in a row since 2015, totaling 24 billion yuan so far.
They're also doing share buybacks to cancel shares and boost earnings per share. And they'll set aside more shares for the next employee incentive round.
All in all, 2025 was a steady year for BOE. They're moving away from just chasing size and trying to create more real value for shareholders - with actual profits and returns they can share.
