May 12 - According to MacRumors, Apple's first foldable iPhone (expected to be called iPhone Fold or iPhone Ultra) will start with just two color options when it launches. The company is going for a clean, premium, and low-key look instead of flashy or bright shades.

Supply chain sources say the two colors will be Silver White paired with either Deep Space Gray or Indigo. This is pretty similar to what Apple did with the original iPhone X - they kept things simple at first to focus on getting the new folding screen and hinge working reliably.
The phone uses a horizontal book-style fold. It has a custom LTPO OLED screen from Samsung, with both an outer and inner display. When folded, the body measures about 83.8 × 120.6 × 9.6 mm with a 5.49-inch outer screen. When opened, it expands to 167.6 × 120.6 × 4.8 mm and reveals a 7.76-inch inner screen.
One of the coolest rumored features is that the front camera on the inner screen is completely hidden under the display - no notch, no punch hole, truly full screen. On the back, there's a dual camera setup arranged horizontally, similar to the upcoming iPhone Air.
To reduce the folding crease as much as possible, Apple is reportedly using a liquid metal hinge that's 2.5 times stronger than titanium. However, this hinge is very difficult to manufacture, with current yields sitting around 65%, which is one of the biggest hurdles for mass production right now.
Foxconn will be the exclusive manufacturer, and Apple has reportedly placed an initial order for 7 to 8 million units.
Inside, the phone is expected to feature the new A20 Pro chip made on a 2nm process, along with Apple's own C2 modem and N2 chip. Performance, connectivity, and AI capabilities should all be top-tier.
Pricing is said to start between $2,000 and $2,300 in the US.
Of course, all of this is still based on supply chain rumors and hasn't been officially confirmed by Apple yet.
